Iowa Senator Charles Grassley spoke at the Sanford Museum on Wednesday. Grassley held one of his annual town-hall meetings as an estimated crowd of 300 people packed the Museum. Grassley discussed several issues, including abortion, rights of gun owners, and cap and trade issues, but mostly answered audience questions on healthcare reform.
Sen. Grassley stated that Wednesday's meeting was the biggest turnout that he had ever seen in Cherokee County. At the right, Grassley is pictured talking to Washington High School Guidance Counselor Deb Hankens, center, and fellow WHS Counselor Jolleen Hunecke, as they were leading a group of students into the museum to hear Grassley speak.
