"The teams had a great meet with everyone getting improved times over the last meet," said Cherokee coach Jolene Hultgren. We also had Jaden and Kody back running and helping out the boys team by taking the top two (Cherokee) spots. John and Dan took two minutes off their last times and Conner showed improvement as well.
"The girls team had a great effort with all five runners improving their times from the last meet by two minutes or more. As the season gets started, we are striving to meet a goal of improving our times at each and every meet. The kids are working hard in practice and that is starting to pay off."
The Cherokee squads run Tuesday at the Le Mars Invitational on the Brunsville Golf Course.
