Shawna Lynn Nelson of Webster City and Derek Keith Leonard of Holstein are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The couple will be married on September 26, 2009, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City, with a dinner and dance to follow in Williams, Iowa.

Parents of the couple are Keith and Francene Leonard of Holstein, Randy Nelson of Webster City, and Bruce and Dawn Mark of Williams.

Derek is a 2003 graduate of Galva-Holstein High School and a 2007 spring graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City. He works with wind turbines as a maintenance technician for Enxco Service Corp. of Breda, and resides in Lake View, Iowa.

Shawna is a 2005 graduate of Webster City High School, and a 2008 winter graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City. She is employed by Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. as a family advocate/family service worker for the Ida Grove and Cherokee Head Start Preschool Program. Shawna resides in Holstein.
