The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors conducted a short meeting on Tuesday. Among the items on their agenda was the Quarterly Revenue Report from Barb Staver of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department.
Staver presented the report and informed the Board of her department's rise in application of purchase permits for handguns. The Board then approved the Sheriff's Department's Quarterly Revenue Report as presented.
Also presenting the Board with a Quarterly Revenue Report was County Recorder Dawn Jones Coombs. The Board then approved the report as presented. She also stated to the Board that her department is still issuing passports at a steady rate.
Dave Shanahan, County Engineer also addressed the Board and reported that L-56 (River Road) is now open for traffic, and then discussed general business with the Board.
In other business the Board approved a wage authorization request from the Cherokee Law Enforcement Center for a recently hired employee.
