Braves football game tonight moved

Friday, October 23, 2009

The Cherokee Braves (6-2 over all, 5-1 District) pivotal Class 2A District football game against District leader Eagle Grove (7-1, 6-0) scheduled for Eagle Grove tonight, has been moved to Fort Dodge High School due to wet grounds at Eagle Grove.

The Braves/Eagles game will begin at 4:45 p.m. today, and will be followed by the Class 1A District match-up featuring Fort Dodge St. Edmond versus West Hancock that was already scheduled.

The playing surface at the newly renovated Fort Dodge Football Stadium is artificial field turf.

The Braves and Eagles are in the playoffs regardless whether they win or lose tonight.
