The Wildcats scored four touchdowns through the air as quarterback Grady Gallagher was 11-29 passing for 170 yards, three TDs and two interceptions, and QB Matthew Wright was 2-4 passing for 21 yards an one TD. Wildcat receiver Taylor McErlath caught five passes for 94 yards and two TDs to lead WC to the win.
Mathew Rogers rushed the ball 19 times for 59 yards and one TD for the winning Wildcats.
River Valley QB Andrew Volkert was 6-17 passing for 86 yards and one interception, and Austin Hansen was 1-7 passing for 61 yards and one TD. Cody Paris caught three passes for 80 yards and a TD to lead the Wolverines in that category, and Hansen caught two pases for 58 yards.
Samuel Lundt paced the RV rushing effort with four carries for 47 yards an a TD. Paris rushed seven times for 39 yards. River Valley rushed 23 times for 92 yards in the game.
Paris also paced the Wolverines on defense, figuring in on a whopping 19 tackles, while Erik Gutteriez totaled eight, Tanner Cobb seven, Skylar Shever six, and Volkert and Hansen five apiece.
Josh Haberl led WC in tackles with eight, and McErlath and Aric Traver had six each.
River Valley ends its season with a 2-7 record, and Woodbury Central ends its regular season with a 4-5 mark, but takes on Clay Central-Everly in the first round of the playoffs on Wednesday Oct. 28 in Royal.
