Groovy 'Bee Hive' next CCT production

Early rehearsals are under way for the opening production of the Cherokee Community Theater's 51st year - "Bee Hive," featuring 1960s - style music. Amy Sarchet will serve as the Musical Director and Holly Ohlson as the Technical Director for this lighthearted romp, which features the singing "Girl Group" of Sarchet, Ohlson, Cheryl Ellis, Lisa Hunter, Heidi Church and Janet Brown, and their back-up band, made up of local musicians Jimmy Davis, Steve Thomas, Brad Dirks, and Tim Anderson.

"Bee Hive" will be presented at the beautifully renovated Cherokee Community Center on Thursday through Sunday, Nov.13 -15; and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 -21 at 7:30 p.m., and will conclude with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Come on out and enjoy the groovy music of the sixties, with over 40 favorite tunes from the era to be featured.
