The Cherokee Depot Renovation, Inc. invites everyone to their many family events that will be held this month at the historic Cherokee Railroad Depot, beginning this Thursday at 6:30 p.m.,when the Depot will be having an Open House after the Wonderful World of Christmas Parade. There will be cookies and hot chocolate and coffee, plus Christmas music by the Cherokee Middle School Jazz Ensemble, directed by Casey Kingdon, Band Director at CMS.
On Saturday, Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Depot will be hosting their annual Christmas Bake Sale. The sale will feature all kinds of delicious goodies for sale, and they will also be serving hot dogs and chips. All proceeds will go to help on-going projects at the Depot.
On Saturday Dec. 19, the public is invited to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Depot. During your visit, you can enjoy juice, hot chocolate and cookies. In addition, a photographer will be available to take photos of you with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
Wrapping up the Depot's December events will be the Annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 27, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Apple cider, treats, and tours of the Depot will be featured, and the Depot model trains will also be open and running for the kids to see.
