RV boys top K-P by 20, 65-45

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

CORRECTIONVILLE - The River Valley boys picked up their third victory in a row with a 20-point win over Kingsley-Pierson here on Friday, 65-45.

RV coach Dean Norris said, "This was a very hard - fought and competitive game, and the score is misleading, as KP played really well and made it a good game throughout."

Austin Hansen led the way for RV with a 23 point, seven rebound, six steal performance, while fellow senior Sam Lundt also played an excellent game with 21 points, six assists, and five steals. Andrew Volkert added 11 rebounds for the Wolverines, while Zak Gander finished with 10 points.

Coach Norris said, "The kids are really playing hard and unselfish basketball right now. It's a shame we have Christmas break, as they have won three in a row and are playing so well at this point."

The Wolverine teams will resume their schedules on January 5.
