HOLSTEIN - The Ridge View Raptors boys dropped a 54-46 Western Valley basketball decision to Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto here on Friday. The game was close for the entire first half, with MVAO holding an 18-17 lead at half-time. The third quarter was the Raptors' downfall, though, as MVAO outscored them 15-7 in that period to increase their lead to nine, and hung on to post an eight-point victory.
Isaiah Miller had a double-double for Ridge View, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Christian Bondinello scored five points and had 12 boards. MVAO had three players score in double figures - Brady Wright with 20 points, Drew Conover with 12, and Chris Oberg with 10.
Raptors coach Shannon Tesch said, "We fell apart a little in the third quarter, but our fourth quarter was strong. We need to find a way to get it done in the third quarter. That has happened to us a couple of times already this season."
Ridge View's season mark now stands at 2-4 heading into the Christmas break.
