Dale Lynn Fuhrman entered this world on Oct. 20, 1942, in Cherokee, the son of Louis and Emma Fuhrman. Due to the sudden death of his mother, Dale grew up in the family of his Uncle Dick and Aunt Leora Srock.
Dale graduated form Forest City High School in 1961, after which he entered into his chosen field of telecommunications. In 1965, Dale and Anna Smolley were married at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. In 1966, Dale enlisted in the Navy Seabees and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Following his release in 1968, he resumed his telecommunications career in a number of cities in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Dale and Anna moved to their current home in Eden Prairie in 1992.
Dale was very loyal and dedicated to his family and to his job and the individuals with whom he worked. He was a lifelong fan of athletics, from his days on the Forest City football team to his devout following of the Eden Prairie Eagles, Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota sports teams. Dale also loved his time at the family cabin, where he kept busy with various projects and fishing. He also enjoyed classic movies, oldies music and a good nap.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Sharon, Gayle and Rick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anna; children, Daniel and Nicole; granddaughter, Alexandra; his brother Paul of Cherokee, sister Roxann, brother Tom, brother Jon and sister Tammy; and numerous extended family and friends.
