The Cherokee County REAP (Resource Enhancement and Protection) Committee has scheduled its annual meeting for today at 3 p.m. at the Cherokee County Conservation Board's meeting room facility located at their headquarters - 629 River Road.
The tentative agenda for this meeting will be to :Hold an election of officers. Review any short or long term plans, and applications for any group or organization considering a proposed REAP project grant.
Cherokee County has received funding for a number of projects under the REAP program. These projects include the Spring Lake Trail, County Conservation Board facility improvements and land acquisition, majority of the farmstead windbreaks installed under the local soil and water conservation districts cost share programs, and a number of historical preservation projects in the county. Just to name a few.
