The Cherokee Knights of Columbus has begun its 18th year of selling money calendars. Knights will be selling the calendars for $20 each through Feb. 20, 2010, and on March 1, the first drawing for cash will be held. There will be 60 $50 winners and two $500 winners, and winners can pick up their checks at Robinson's Floor Covering.

Each year, the Knights also give five $200 scholarships to high school seniors from their cluster, and give $1,500 to area agencies. This year they will be giving $750 to the Cherokee Rotary Club to help with their Weekend Food Back Pack program and $750 to the Cherokee Washington High School Booster Club for use in projects they may have. One of the items the Boosters have discussed is purchase of possession clocks for the end zones at George Hicks Field.
