Nicole Snyder and Chelsea Clayton both scored in double figures Tuesday to lead Ridge View to a 58 - 29 first-round Western Valley Conference Tournament win over Woodbury Central. Snyder scored 15 points while Clayton scored 13, along with five boards, an assist and two steals. Clayton's sister Egypt had a good all-round game, scoring eight points, grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out four assists, making four steals, and blocking two shots. Victoria Andersen abd Roxann Grundmeier both scored six points and took down six rebounds, and Brooke Wiese scored five points and dished out five assists for the Raptors. Kati Steffen scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds, and Marilyn Pucelik had seven boards for WC.
Ridge View's reward for their victory? They get to face Odebolt-Arthur/ Battle Creek, the number 1 -ranked team in the state in Class 2A, on Thursday night in Ida Grove.
