As I was shelving books today, the title of a book caught my eye, "When Will It Be Spring?" I'm sure everyone has been asking this question. The good news it is only 24 days until the first day of spring.
Do you have cabin fever? If so, take a stroll on down to the Cherokee Public Library and check out our new books, DVDs, and magazines.
You could also join in the fun at the library by coming to the library's upcoming programs.
Don't forget to bring your three ñ five year old to Story Time every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Your child will have fun listening to stories, singing rhymes, doing finger plays, and doing a craft.
The library will be celebrating a special author's birthday on Tuesday, March 2 at 3:45 p.m. upstairs in the children's department. All ages are welcome. Come join in the special activities planned for you to help celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday.
YIA will meet Thursday, March 4 @ 3:45 p.m. Since March is known as Youth Art Month, you will have a chance to see how good you are at detecting the original artwork from a copy.
The Terrific Toddler's Story Time for parents and their one - three year olds will meet Saturday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m. Come join us for stories, songs, finger plays, and rhymes that old and young both enjoy.
There will be no After School Bunch on Tuesday, March 9.
However, there will be a surprise program at the library on Thursday, March 11 at 2 p.m. Be sure to wear your favorite hat when you come. All ages are welcome.
The library has a new series, "Warriors: The New Prophecy" in the juvenile department. We have the complete set.
