CYSBA seeking volunteer labor

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

The dedicated Cherokee Youth Summer Ball Association (CYSBA) that organizes and manages all of Cherokee's youth baseball and softball programs, is forming a valuable new "Physical Labor Committee."

CYSBA is in the process of organizing such a committee to help with preparing the CYSBA ball fields for the season.

Among the duties would be putting up the batting cages, locating the bases and pitching mounds, painting the foul lines on the fields, attaching the sponsors signs on the outfield fencing, mending fencing, etc.

CYSBA said much of the work involved is a one-time thing at the beginning of the season, and they are simply trying to organize a pool of volunteers who they could summon to help out on certain occasions.

Any questions, contact Amy Fowler at 225-1035, or afowler@ccsd.k12.ia.us.
