March to the Midway Point
Ames, IA -- March 4th marked the halfway point of the Live Healthy Iowa 100 Day Wellness Challenge. The 19,695 participants have already reported 25,317,375 minutes of activity and logged 60,263 pounds lost - an awesome achievement for the first half of the Challenge!
There are many great accomplishments to be noted throughout the state of Iowa. The University of Iowa has nearly 1,000 faculty and staff taking part, while Opportunity Village in Clear Lake has 37 teams. Participating employees of Casey's General Store, Inc. have lost a total of 1,465 pounds while participants in the Live Healthy Cass County Challenge have recorded over 480,000 minutes of activity. With numbers like that, the 2010 Live Healthy Iowa Challenge will be a big success in the state of Iowa!
