Third Annual contest starts Monday

Exciting prizes and fun for all highlights The Chronicle Times third annual Great Easter Egg Hunt beginning on Monday, March 22 and running until April 2 or until the eggs are found.

A Gold egg and Silver egg will be hidden within the Cherokee City limits (excluding private property). Clues in this year's contest will be harder than ever with new puzzle clues that will be featured in The Chronicle Times to help you down the bunny trail and, hopefully, to one of the eggs.

Plus, on every Tuesday, word clues will be available to you. Gold egg word clues will be announced at Carey's Furniture and Silver egg word clues will be available at participating area sponsors.

Any found eggs must be returned to The Chronicle Times office to claim the prize. If the eggs haven't been found by the Great Easter Egg Hunt's final day on April 2, the Chronicle Times will publish all clues, including the last one.

The clues will be published up to and including the final day until the hidden Gold and Silver eggs are found.

Among the great prizes is the Gold Egg winner - $1000 in furniture from Carey's Furniture in downtown Cherokee. The Silver Egg winner receives approximately $380 in gift certificates from participating Cherokee businesses, including a one-year subscription to the Chronicle Times.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt is open to anyone except employees of The Chronicle Times and Carey's Furniture and their immediate families. No purchase is necessary. Decision of the judges is final.
