Children's Library Corner -
The Easter Bunny was happy to see all the children who came to see him last Thursday. She left some eggs at the library for the children who weren't able to come.
So come to the library and pick up a special Easter egg.
The month of April has some special events going on at the library. April 11 ñ 17 is National Library Week and the library will be hopping with activities each day to celebrate. The youth department will have guest readers from the community share some of their favourite stories after school Monday through Thursday. The stories are geared more for younger readers but all ages are welcome. The readers will be Linda Burkhart from the Sanford Museum, our own library director Mary Jo Ruppert, Linda McClaren from the American Theater, and John O'Connor from KCHE. The activities and stories will begin at 3:45 p.m.. Hope to see you next week.
Tuesday, April 27th the After School Bunch will meet at 3:45 p.m. for a special program on wind generators. The program will be open to all ages. Be sure to come with some questions for our speaker. She will be bringing the harness that the men wear to climb the generators and have the material the long blades are made from. It will be educational and fun.
I am starting to get our Summer Reading Program underway. The theme this year is
Make a Splash @ Your Library and will be held in July. Lisa Laird from Orange City will be the kick-off program and Indiana Bones will share his storytelling talents during the Summer Reading Program. More details will follow next month.
Don't forget to stop in a pick up an April newsletter. There's several special events you won't want to miss.
