A group of students from Washington High School were recently selected to participate in the "National Economics Challenge." These students qualified to participate at the state competition on April 1 on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. This is a big honor, as only four schools are selected to participate each year. The group placed third in the microeconomic division, third in the international economics division, and fourth in the macroeconomic division. This group includes, left to right, Jakob Hummel, Emily Cook, and Eric Boisen. Michael Rundall is the economics teacher at Washington High School.
