The Hunter Leavitt's 14th Annual Bake Sale for Cystic Fibrosis will be held April 24 in the Grace United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 303 E. Fenton St. in Marcus, just across from the high school, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Everyone is welcome to participate in this fund-raiser. You are invited to bring bake goods to sell, help that morning, come and purchase items, or just come for coffee. Please not that this year's fund-raiser is earlier this year.
There will be coffee, strawberry lemonade, a few goodies to sample and tables loaded with bake good, freezer jam, pies, and homemade candies. All proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to be used for research and to improve the lives of those who have CF. If you would like to help that day or if you would like more information, please give Elaine a call at 376-4333 or Becky at 376-2462.
Progress in CF research has accelerated over the past few years, most evidently in the pioneering field of gene therapy technology. Currently more than 150 individuals have undergone experimental gene therapy technology, which offers the best hope for life-saving treatments.
Research is the best defense in the ongoing battle to cure CF and ensure a brighter future for those who face this disease every day. Organizers hope to see you at the CF Bake Sale on April 24.
