The Cherokee Washington High girls varsity golf team ran its record to a sparkling 4-1 after winning a Lakes Conference dual against Hull Western Christian Monday night, and then winning a triangular also featuring Newell-Fonda and Storm Lake on Tuesday.
Both matches were played on the Cherokee Golf & Country Club.
The WHS girls carded a 220 in defeating HWC, which did not field a full team and didn't keep a varsity score.
Danielle Hansen was medalist for Cherokee with a 51, and Emily Cook was runner-up medalist with a 55. Other scores for Cherokee were Amanda Callahan 56, Jessica Cook 58, Alli Curry 61, and Brooke Luetkeman 63.
Cherokee JV scores were Sadie Brown 58, Jenna Phipps 63, Julie Miller 65, Clare Tuttle 66, Shanon Shaefer 67, and Haley Mummert 69.
Brown was runner-up medalist for JV.
The WHS gals won the triangular after carding a 217, followed by N-F 231, and Storm Lake 254.
Jessica Cook was runner-up medalist for Cherokee with a 51, and Nicole Martin of Storm Lake was medalist with a 49.
Other scoring for Cherokee included Curry 55, Callahan 55, Hansen 56, Emily Cook 57, Kelsey Ludwig 57.
For the Cherokee JV, Luetkeman was low with a 59, followed by Shaefer 66, Brown 68, Miller 75, Phipps 79, and Tuttle 81.
