"The course was in excellent shape and our home advantage paid off," said Cherokee coach James DeVos. "Brock shot very well. So far, in every meet this year, a new guy has stepped up and led the way for our team. It's good to see every player contribute in a big way at some time during the year."
At Newell, the Braves won after carding a 147, to host N-F's 151, and Storm Lake's 156.
Matt Pitts was runner-up medalist for Cherokee with a 34, and Matt Juilfs of N-F was medalist with a 33.
Other varsity scores for the Braves were O'Connor 36, Benson 37, Adam Pitts 40, Spindler 41, Winchell 46.

"Any time a team can break into the 150s, they are having a great day," said DeVos. "Going down into the 140s is an amazing feat. I'm hoping this meet gives our guys the confidence to know that they have the ability to go low if they execute shots."
The Braves golf at Aurelia Friday night, also geaturing Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn.
