Track Braves run at Knight Relays

ORANGE CITY - The Cherokee track and field Braves tallied two runners-up and two third-place finishes at the recent Knight Relays hosted in Orange City by Unity Christian.

Kyle Schuck placed second in the 110 hurdles in a time pf 15.92, and Nolan Sampson was second in the high jump with a 6-0 leap.

Cherokee thirds went to Marc Husman's 52.49 clocking in the 400 meters, and the Braves 4x100 relay unit of Schuck, Sampson, Husman, and Kyle Comstcok timed in 47.74.

Brock Dagel was fourth in the discus with a throw of 128-6, and Cody Stowater placed sixth in the shot put with a 44-6 1/2 effort. Schuck also was sixth in the high jump with a 5-8 effort.

The Braves also placed sixth in the medley relay, with Sampson, Comstock, Schuck, and Husman clocking a 4:00.50 time.

Le Mars won the meet with 135 points, followed by Sioux Center 96, Unity Christian 83, MOC-Floyd Valley 78, Hull Western Christian 70, Sheldon 38, Cherokee 35, and Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley 21.
