A talented Spirit Lake Park team smashed the young Cherokee Washington High girls tennis team 9-0 in Lakes Conference action here Monday night.
In varsity singles for Cherokee, Demi Dunn lost 10-3 to Alli Gerking at #1, Amanda Kohn fell 10-1 to Aubry Kolegraff at #2, Denise Freed lost 10-1 to Shirley Coenen at #3, Hillary Wilkie lost 10-0 to Haley Smith at #4, Sara Ruehle lost 10-2 to KH Veldman at #5, and Sanna Miller fell 10-4 to Hannah Coenen at #6.
In varsity doubles, Dunn and Kohn lost 10-5 to Gerking and Kolegraff at #1, Freed and Ruehle lost 10-1 to Smith and Veldman at #2, and Miller and Wilkie lost 10-0 to Coenen and Coenen at #3.

In JV singles action for Cherokee, Amber Haupert fell 8-1 at #1, Taylor Meyrhofer lost 8-2 at #2, Emily Estala lost 8-1 at #3, Paige Stieneke lost 8-2 at #4, Shelby Bingham lost 8-0 at #5, and Hanna Henson fell 8-3 at #6.
In JV doubles, Meyerhofer and Stieneke lost 8-3 at #1, Haupert and Henson lost 8-3 at #2, and Bingham and Brianna Fowler fell 8-0 at #3.
The Cherokee girls travel to Le Mars Tuesday.
