Bulldog girls run well at Manson

MANSON - The Aurelia Bulldogs girls track team made a good showing at Thursday's Emily Markert Relays here. No team standings were available, but the Bulldog girls totaled 60 points despite a lack of numbers which limited Tim Galvin's team in such events as relays.

Several individuals shone for the Bulldogs, though. Ashley Anderson was awarded second place in the Class B High Jump with her leap of 4-8; Shaina Thevenin and Meghan Glawe jumped 13-11 1/2 and 13- 1/4, respectively, to place third and fourth in the Class B long jump; Erin Laursen was 5th in the Class B Discus, with a throw of 76-7; Stephanie Stange was 5th in the 5000 Meter Run, in 14:49.94; Thevenin was second in the 100 meter dash, in 14.23, and Glawe took fourth, in 14.28; Audrey Winterhof was second and Laursen third in the 400 meter dash, with times of 1:03.31 and 1:10.94, respectively; Ashley Anderson took fourth in the 100 meter hurdles, in a time of 18.06; Erin Laursen placed second in the 200 meters (30.36), with Stephanie Stange placing 9th; Audrey Winterhof won third place in the 1500 Meters, in a time of 5:39.51; and in their only relay, the Bulldog team of Anderson, Laursen, Glawe and Thevenin took second place in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay with their time of 2:11.02.
