The first of three wins -
Storm Lake St. Mary's supreme distance runner Paul Yak (left) starts on the "gun lap" on his winning 3000 meter effort at Alta Tuesday. Aurelia sophomore Evan Laursen (right), running the event for the first time, did well - though the appearance in this photo is deceiving, as Yak is actually a lap ahead of the Bulldog runner. Yak later added the 800 and 1500 meter titles for a "triple crown" afternoon.
