Bravo ABC!

Friday, May 7, 2010

(Photo)
Dedicated members of the Association for the Beautification of Cherokee (ABC) Committee were hard at it this week planting perennials in the node at the intersection of West Main and Fourth Streets. Here, left to right, Mark Donahue, Dwight Varce, and Lisa Perrin are shown planting the flowers and greenery. John Snapp also was helping with the project but, quick as ever, dodged the photographer. ABC plans to redo all the downtown nodes this summer and fall. The project is funded through private donations with no tax dollars involved. The perennials are purchased at a discounted price from Rhoadside Blooming House in Cherokee. Those wishing to donate to such a good cause can contact Varce at 225-5463. Photo by Dan Whitney
