Withers has extensive background in the social work field having worked within both hospital and agency settings. She has completed a certificate program in family therapy with an emphasis on family systems and health. Her experience includes services to children, families and adults. She also has a nursing background and experience working with Spanish speaking communities.
She will spend two days a week in the Cherokee office of Plains Area Mental Health Center and three days a week in the Storm Lake office.

Plains Area Mental Health is a non-profit community mental health center providing counseling services to residents of Cherokee, Plymouth, Sioux, Ida and Buena Vista Counties.
