The Cherokee Parks and Recreation Department is requesting donations from citizens, businesses and organizations to help children enjoy this summer at the Bacon Aquatic Center.
This is the third year for this successful program, which uses the donated funds toward family or single passes for families who might not be able to afford a swim pass for their children.
In the past two years over $3000 in donations helped out numerous children who, otherwise, might have had to watch all the pool fun from outside the fence.
Donations can be sent to Cherokee Parks and Recreation Department, 530 W. Bluff St. Call the Parks and Recreation Department at 225-2715 if you have any questions.
