Area students graduate at Morningside

Several area students were among the 273 students who received bachelor's degrees from Morningside College during the school's 112th Spring Commencement exercises held on Saturday May 8.

Jennifer Bechtel, daughter of Michael and Joyce Bechtel of Cherokee and a past graduate of Cherokee Washington High School, graduated Summa Cum Laude for having a cumulative GPA of 3.81 or higher. Bechtel received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education.

Brittany Benson, daughter of Steve and Jean Benson of Cherokee, also a past graduate of Washington High School, graduated Cum Laude, for having a cumulative GPA if 3.50 or higher. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

Jennifer Bowen, daughter of Jeff and Maria Bowen of Aurelia, and a past graduate of Aurelia High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in business administration.

Clint Corderman, son of Mike and Susan Corderman of Aurelia and a past graduate of Aurelia High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology.

Jason Jackson, son of Caroline Hirsch of Eagle Grove, and a past graduate of Washington High School in Cherokee, received a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in bio-psychology and biology.

Trenten Todd, son of Mark and Becky Todd of Washta and a past graduate of River Valley High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in business administration.
