Jeff Klatt, nationally acclaimed chain saw artist from Storm Lake, is pictured sharping up the tools of his trade as he takes time away from a memorial military tribute carving at Cherokee's Oak Hill Cemetery on Wednesday. Klatt is putting several man hours in to have the memorial, carved from the remaining trunk of a large tree that was taken down, completed in time for Monday's Memorial Day Program at Oak Hill Cemetery. Cherokee resident Louis Hausmann conceived the project to honor our military veterans and it was made possible by private fundraising. Photo by Mike Leckband
