Both the Mustangs' Men's and Women's 3200-meter relay teams will be competing at the Nationals, along with four individuals in three individual events. Ryan Gass will compete in the Men's High Jump, Monte Larson in the Men's 400 Meter Hurdles, and Erin Keitges and Cherokee's Kara Nelson will both be running in the Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase.

Keitges ranked 12th among the qualifiers for the Nationals in the event, while Nelson ranked 14th. The Mustangs' best chance for a high finish may come in the Women's 3200 Meter Relay, where their 9:19.33 time is the second fastest qualifying time, just .14 seconds behind the fastest time. Breanna Mathes, who competed for Galva-Holstein High School, is a member of the Mustangs' 3200 Meter team. Another G-H alum, freshman John Harris, has been a member of the Mustangs' Men's 3200 Meter Relay team.

The top six finishers in each event will be awarded NAIA All-America status.
