Craig H. Frye, 55, of Cherokee, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Elder Brent Lawrey will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Boothby Funeral Home with the family present from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. On line condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Craig was born Nov. 10, 1954 at Willmar, Minn. to Pascal and Alice (Swenson) Frye. He attended Golden Rod country school and Willmar High School. He worked construction for Danick Bros. and also for Willmar Manufacturing for 13 years. He was also a counselor for drug and alcohol abuse. He retired in August of 2003 due to poor health. He had lived in Cherokee the past four years, prior to this in Washta for a short time and in Willmar, Minn. for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking pictures. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by three children: Allan Frye of Birmingham, Ala., Alicia Collins and her husband Steven of Olivia, Minn.; Michael Frye of Willmar, Minn.; his parents Pascal and Alice Frye of Cherokee; two brothers; Brian Frye and his wife Mary of Cushing; Tim Frye and his wife Fe of Washta.
