Ridge View boys top River Valley 7-3

HOLSTEIN - Ridge View took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, then added another in the 3rd inning and two more in the 4th, en route to a 7-3 victory Friday over River Valley in Western Valley Conference baseball action here on Friday.

Josh Mohr was the winning pitcher for the Raptors, striking out 10 Wolverine batters along the way. Seth Johnson got on for times and stole six bases for the Raptors, while Dru Kenny stole four bases and Kris Alesch three.

Skylar Stever and Sam Lundt each had two hits to lead the River Valley hitting attack.

Ridge View coach Shannon Tesch said, "We had good defense and great pitching in this one. Josh Mohr and Kyle Wessling combined to strike out 15 batters. Offensively, we ran the bases well, stealing 21 bases to help us score our 7 runs. It was a good way to end the week."

The Ridge View Raptors are 2-2 on the season.
