Memorial Presbyterian Pastor Ethan Sayler recently asked for 10 volunteers for a Talent Investment Project, one of them being Breeana De Vos, age 13.

The volunteers were each given $100 and told to either give it away to someone who needed it (non family members) or to find a way to make it grow and use the money a different way.

Breeana took the money and bought ingredients to make cookie mixes in quart size mason canning jars. She offered three different kinds of cookies and sold a total of 154 jars raising $1,106.00. She chose to split this between two different causes.

One was to adopt a family (single mom with three kids) locally and spend $553.00 and the remainder of $553.00 was sent to Tercio, a child from Brazil that the Memorial Presbyterian Church sponsors through the World Vision organization.
