RV Wolverines top L-B Eagles, 6-4

CORRECTIONVILLE - The River Valley girls evened their season record with a 6-4 win over Lawton-Bronson in Western Valley Conference softball action here on Wednesday.

RV rallied from 2-0 deficit to make it 6-2, then hung on as L-B rallied for two runs of their own in the 7th to make it close.

Kelli Miller pitched a complete game for RV, giving up five hits and two earned runs, while striking out three and walking one.

Kari Ludvigson led the way offensively for the Wolverines with a 2-2 performance, three runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases. Lexie Chester added a single and double and two RBI of her own, Sarah Byers also had two hits and an RBI, McKensie Fitch added one hit and three stolen bases, and Amanda Miller also picked up a single.

RV coach Dean Norris said, "The girls continue to play with a lot of enthusiasm and confidence , and are supporting each other well both offensively and defensively."
