MARCUS - The public is invited to the Marcus Historical Guest Day when they will be able to view the slides of the 1971 centennial pageant as well as the large parade for that grand celebration.

Guys as well as gals will enjoy seeing family and friends in their younger years, while others are now deceased. The pageant was presented two times back then while the parade had many entries.

This will take place at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 19 at 1:30 p.m. The program, "Remembering 1971" will be shown first, followed by a wonderful sample dessert lunch.

At the same time, there will be displays of costume jewelry from the 50's and the like. There will be other accessories as well, plus antique candy dishes and the like for everyone's enjoyment.

It promises to be a fun afternoon and a dish will be placed for a free-will donation.
