ALTA - The Ridge View softball girls continued to struggle in a 6-2 loss to Alta here on Tuesday. Taking the loss on the mound for the Raptors was Jaime Christensen, who pitched six innings and gave up four hits and had no walks or strikeouts. Ridge View's lone hit came from Emily Schiernbeck.
"The kids put the ball into play but it was right at them," said the Raptors coach Scott Phelps, " and they made some good plays all night. We had a couple of errors that hurt and gave them five unearned runs, and we can't continue to do that if we want to have a chance to win some games."
Ridge View is now 11-11 overall and the task didn't get any easier as they hosted Woodbury Central in Western Valley Conference play at Galva on Wednesday.
