The Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Street Dance on tap for Saturday, July 3 on East Main Street needs volunteers to step up and serve on many venues.
The popular summer Street Dance will be one of many events taking place during the Little Sioux Summer Festival, July 3-4 in Cherokee.
Gates for the Street Dance will open at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 3 with the local band "Rock Pilots" opening at 8 p.m..
"Something Underground," the renowned Denver, Colo. rock band with Cherokee ties, will be the headliner, performing until midnight. Admission is just $5 per person and there will be a beer garden on site.
The Chamber Board of Directors is requesting help with this year's dance. Volunteers are needed for the following times on Saturday, July 3: Set up - starting at Noon - ?, Admission Gate - 6:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., Admission Gate - 8:30 p.m. - 11 p.m., Beer Garden 6:45 p.m. - 9 p.m., Beer Garden 9 p.m. - Midnight, Concession Stand (Sandwiches and Pop) - 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Concession Stand (Sandwiches and Pop) 9 p.m. - 11 p.m., Clean-up Crew - Midnight - ?
