Monday, June 28, 2010

GALVA - The Ridge View Raptors put together a strong game for the second night in a row as they defeated River Valley here by the score of 6-3 in Western Valley Conference action Thursday. Picking up the win on the mound for Ridge View was Jaime Christensen, who pitched all seven innings, giving up three hits, one earned run, and walking two.

Ridge View's offense was led by Emily Schiernbeck, who went 1-3 with an RBI, Kaitlin Wulf , who went 1-3 and had an RBI, Dana Hustedt, who went 1-3 with an RBI, and Victoria Andresen, who slammed a double.

Amanda Miller's two run homerun was the highlight for River Valley, as Bailey Fitch had two hits as well to lead the offense. Kelli Miller pitched the complete game , allowing 7 hits and striking out 2. Kari Ludvigson made several fine defensive plays at third base, but it wasn't enough against a good Ridge View team.

Ridge View is now 12-12 overall and 5-7 in the conference, and hosted the ranked Westwood team in conference action on Friday night.
