One way to spice up your Cherokee County Fair experience would be to head to the Activity Building at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 10 for Ladies Day with Darcy Maulsby: 'Cooking with Herbs from your Kitchen Garden.'
Maulsby, along with being a successful marketing communications specialist and journalist, is an Iowa State University Extension Master Gardener who is working on creating an "edible landscape" at her rural home near Lake City.
"Whether you're starting from scratch - as I am - to create an edible landscape, or you just want to add some edible plants to your property, the real fun starts when you head to the kitchen," says Darby on her website.

Maulsby's garden is simply one of the interests she discusses as part of her communications company.
