The Ridge View softball team finished off the conference portion of their season with a hard fought 9-5 win over Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove on Monday. Getting the win on the mound for the Raptors was Jaime Christensen, who pitched seven strong innings, giving up two earned runs while walking one and striking out two. Leading the way at the plate for the Raptors were Brea Slaybaugh, who went 2-4 with three RBI and Gretchen Kistenmacher, who went 2-2 with two RBI.
Ridge View coach Scott Phelps commented, "Our kids continue to play hard and give good effort. We were very happy with the way they continue to battle and make plays as the game progresses. The kids are still striving to put together a strong seven innings of pitching, defense and hitting."
Ridge View is now 13-15 overall and they host Storm Lake St. Mary's in a non-conference match-up on Thursday at Galva.
