Former Daily Times reporter publishes Second Murder Mystery

Monday, July 12, 2010

A former Cherokee Daily Times reporter, Mike Manno, has had his second murder mystery novel, End of the Line, published by Five Star, an imprint of Gale / Cenegage Learning, Waterville Maine. The book is being released this month.

The story involves the murder of a former banker who is found shot to death in the back of a city transit bus. It is a semi-humorous mystery and follows the same characters found in Manno's 2006 book, Murder Most Holy.

Manno worked for the Daily Times (now Chronicle Times) in the early 1970s as a courthouse reporter. He is now an attorney in West Des Moines where he also teaches law and political science at Upper Iowa University.
