Warriors coach Dan Wendel said that he was very happy with how his team battled back. "We struggled early in the game defensively, " said the A-A mentor, "but got it together and found a way to score some runs and win the game. Poky came out with a great game plan, and I was impressed with how well they executed early in the game.
"Several of our players had key hits and we ended up getting some big extra base hits that opened up a cushion. Christian pitched very well as usual. He has such great command and really never lets the opposition get comfortable at the plate. It looked to me like we had some first game jitters in the field, but we should be fine in our next game. We did a great job of moving runners and that was the key to a big 5th inning. We are looking forward to playing OA-BCIG again (on Tuesday at Alta) and it should be a fun atmosphere to play in."
