A three-day "Crazy Days" extravaganza beginning Thursday promises to save area shoppers lots of money cashing in on many and various super special prices from Cherokee merchants.

The many Cherokee businesses will be offering shoppers "crazy" price deals Thursday through Saturday on all types of merchandise for home and family.

In addition to all the fantastic bargains throughout town, merchants will be displaying this year's "crazy" theme, "It's a Jungle Out There!" Many will decorate their window displays and businesses using a jungle or tropical theme, and be dressed in jungle fare such as safari clothes, khakis, and/or Hawaiian print.

A Safari Hunt is also included where merchants will place the Crazy Days Poster on their front window or door to let customers know they are participating in the Safari Hunt, and then hide the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce's slogan - "FIND IT" - sign somewhere in their store. The first cutomer to find it will win a special prize or discount of their choice. Merchants will hide the "FIND IT" sign each day, with just one winner per store per day.

Other Crazy Day events include a free pancake breakfast at Hy-Vee Food Store Thursday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Many stores will be opening at 7 a.m. Thursday, and will operate under regular business hours Friday and Saturday.

Those seeking additional information on this shoppers' three-day paradise in beautiful Cherokee can call the Chamber at 225-6414.
