Aja R. Steig Bouska, 29, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., passed away June 30, 2010 from complications related to her lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 9 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines and was officiated by Father Ken Halbur. Visitation was held at McLaren's Funeral Home in West Des Moines from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8. A private internment was held.

A trust fund has been set up for her son, Grayson.

The daughter of Alyce and Bill Steig of Iowa City, she was born Sept. 9, 1980 in Englewood, Colo. Aja will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She lived her life to its fullest and brought joy and inspiration to all.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Bouska and 18-month-old son Grayson; her parents; sisters, Amy Steig of Denver, Colo., and Ashley Steig of Roseville, Minn.; mother and father-in-law, Pat and Francis Bouska of Waucoma, Iowa; her sister and brother-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.
