The Cherokee Regional Medical Center Relay for Life team has been conducting a themed gift basket silent auction fundraiser during the month of July.

Various departments and individuals within CRMC have donated close to 30 different themed gift baskets for the auction, which is open to employees and the general public.

"We had tremendous employee response in support of this fundraising effort for Relay for Life," said Kent Lundquist, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at CRMC.

"We hoped to collect 12 to 15 baskets but we ended up with over two dozen themed baskets for the auction, said Lundquist. "This has the potential to be a very successful fundraiser for a great cause."

The baskets are on display in various areas at CRMC including Admitting, Specialty Clinic, the Cafeteria and Cherokee Regional Clinic. Bids will be accepted until the end of daytime business hours at CRMC on Monday, July 26 with payment due from the winning bidder by July 30, 2010.

Again, the silent auction is open to anyone wishing to support this cause. All of the proceeds of this sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society during the Relay for Life that will be held on Aug. 6 at Spring Lake Park.

For more information about the CRMC Relay for Life themed gift basket auction you may simply stop by Cherokee Regional Medical Center or contact Kent Lundquist at 225-3368 ext. 259.
