The first leg of the Triple Crown was held in Spencer on July 11 and the third leg will be held in Fort Dodge August 21 and 22.

There was a total of 128 archers that competed in the Cherokee event over the past weekend. The event had competitors traveling from all parts of Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

One of the bright spots of the weekend was the number of youths who competed. They had 15 shooters in the 11 and under age group, along with several other youth shooters.
