"Welcome to Medicare" seminars offered at CRMC

Are you going to be eligible for Medicare in the near future? Have you been on Medicare for awhile and want to better understand what it offers? Do you have a family member you help with Medicare issues?

"Welcome to Medicare" is for you! This free, two hour seminar hosted by Cherokee Regional Medical Center will be offered twice during the month of September. The first seminar date will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. It will be held in the CRMC 1st Floor Conference Room. Please register by August 24, 2010 if you plan to attend the September 7th seminar by calling Leann at (712) 225-3368 ext. 200.

If you are unable to attend the first date, the seminar will be offered a second time on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. The registration deadline for the second seminar date will be September 7, 2010. Again, you may register by calling Leann at (712) 225-3368 ext. 200.

"We're excited to offer this free seminar to the community at Cherokee Regional Medical Center," said Dianne Baack, seminar presenter. "Medicare is such an important program and understanding what it offers helps assure that anyone eligible gets the health benefits they deserve," she added.

"Welcome to Medicare" will cover Medicare Part A and Part B benefits, the prescription drug benefit (Part D), Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare supplement insurance. For more information or questions about these seminars call (712) 225-3368 ext. 200.

SHIIP, the Senior Health Insurance Information Program, is a service of the State of Iowa. SHIIP counselors are trained by the state and do not sell or promote any insurance companies, policies or agents.
